"Should I be elected to office, I pledge to listen closely to constituents and weigh their concerns before making important decisions on their behalf. I pledge to support efforts that further transparency, fiscal responsibility, and personal liberty in local government. I will do this by requesting that the local taxing body post financial transactions online (if they haven’t already done so), by proposing spending cuts before increasing taxes unnecessarily, and by protecting the rights of constituents from overreaching regulations. I will also pledge to expose corruption at any level of government, regardless of political repercussions. Finally, I pledge to mentor others in common-sense government so that they can take my place when I have successfully fulfilled my duties."
