Cowardice and arrogance in the dead of night

Late last night, Illinois Democrats spit in the eyes of the voters and passed the largest tax increase in Illinois history. Hiding from the public for the last several days and unwilling to disclose what they were working on despite the fact that they work for us and they are taking our money, these Democrats showed the extent of their arrogance and disdain for Illinois voters by colluding in the dark to pass this outrageous tax increase. Governor Quinn, who promised to veto any increase over 1%, joined them in the dark to congratulate them. Not a single Republican voted for this outrageous abuse of power. If there was ever a reason for voter anger and outrage, this slap in the face by these Democrats is it. But no violence please! Instead, let this outrage serve as the motivation to launch a massive universal voter “revolution” dedicated to firing every single Democrat who voted for this, initiation of a recall of Governor Quinn if he signs it, term limits to curb this constant abuse of power, termination of outrageous union pension plans for government employees, and a ceiling to Illinois spending tied to a reasonable percent of Illinois GDP. If we sit like sheep and take this insult and outrage sitting down, then we deserve what happens to us. Our destiny is in our hands.
